Afghan war memorial to be rededicated with soldiers’ families present | Power & Politics

A battlefield cenotaph from the Afghan war will be rededicated in a public ceremony this summer, following complaints over the rebuilt memorial’s initial unveiling at a private service in Ottawa. Families of the slain soldiers whose faces are immortalized on the monument were not invited to the May 13 unveiling.
