Aurèle Joliat and the early days of hockey, 1963

Hockey Hall of Famer Aurèle Joliat played 16 seasons with the Montreal Canadiens, starting in the 1922-23 NHL season. Years later, he sat down with the Front Page Challenge panel and answered some of their questions about the early days of hockey. This interview aired on CBC’s Front Page Challenge on March 12, 1963

Did You Know?

– Joliat started playing in the NHL during the 1922-23 season. In all, he played 16 seasons in the NHL — all with the Montreal Canadiens.

– He was inducted in the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1947.
