B.C. spot prawns: A sustainable delight all Canadians should taste | We Are The Best

Spot prawns are fished off the coast of B.C., but many Canadians have never had the chance to try tasty crustacean. That’s because most of the prawns are exported to Japan and China.

Fisherman Steve Johansen is one of the founders of Organic Ocean, a group of independent fishermen who sustainably catch spot prawns. It’s his life mission to show Canadians the wonders of B.C.’s spot prawn, while keeping the prawn population healthy.

Join chef Ricardo Larrivée in False Creek, B.C. and learn about sustainable fishing on Canada’s West coast.
