American snowboarder Chloe Kim laid down a near-perfect run in the women’s snowboard halfpipe event on Tuesday, February 13, at the Phoenix Snow Park in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
After scoring 93.75 and 41.50 in her first two runs, the 17-year-old phenom scored 98.75 on her last to vault into first place. China’s Liu Jiayu was second, with a best score of 89.75, while Kim’s teammate Arielle Gold was third with an 85.75.
The win made Kim the youngest woman ever to win a snowboarding medal at the Olympics.
