Sept. 4: Denis Shapovalov At The U.S. Open, Mark McMorris Back With His Crew

Call it the Summer of Denis Shapovalov. The 18-year-old Canadian tennis player advanced to the fourth round of the U.S. Open, but was knocked out on Sunday. Halfpipe skier Cassie Sharpe stomped it in New Zealand to win gold in the season’s first World Cup event. Mark McMorris was back on the slopes with his squad, just five months after his near-death accident in the backcountry.
