Stephen Hawking dead at 76

Stephen Hawking, whose brilliant mind ranged across time and space though his body was paralyzed by disease, died peacefully at home early Wednesday in Cambridge, England. He was 76 years old. Bob McDonald, who met Hawking a few years ago, talks about his impressions of one of the world’s best-known theoretical physicist and his influence on science and beyond.
